Privacy Policy
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Hades Films, LLC (“Hades,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information about you when you use www.hadesfilms.com, the official websites for our motion pictures, and every other website or online service owned, operated, or controlled by or for Hades or a Film Entity that links to or displays this Policy (collectively, the “Services”), including when you purchase tickets through the Services. It also explains the choices and rights you may have.
Individual motion pictures promoted through the Services may be owned by companies affiliated with Hades (each, a “Film Entity”). Hades operates the Services on its own behalf and on behalf of the Film Entities. Unless we tell you otherwise, Hades is the business (or “controller”) responsible for the personal information described in this Policy.
This Policy does not apply to information that third parties, such as ticketing services, theaters, streaming services, or social media platforms, collect for their own purposes, even if you reach them through the Services. It does apply to information you choose to give to us through an experience that another company operates, as described in Section 2. This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use.
Notice at Collection. This Policy serves as our notice at collection. The categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, whether we sell or share it, and how long we keep it are described in Sections 2, 3, 5, 8, and 12. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time as described in Section 6.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
- Ticket purchase information. When you purchase tickets through the Services, we and our ticketing partners collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, postal code, the motion picture, theater, showtime, and number of tickets you select, and your order details.
- Contact and sign-up information. If you sign up for updates or otherwise contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, and postal code, and the content of your communications with us.
- Payment information. Payments for tickets are collected and processed by third-party ticketing services, theaters, and their payment processors (collectively, “Ticketing Partners”). We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
- Information you give us through experiences operated by others. We also collect your name and email address when you give them to us through an experience that another company operates, such as an in-theater fan vote, where we identify ourselves at the point of collection and you ask to hear from us. In those cases we collect only what you choose to give us for that purpose, together with the date and time, the wording you agreed to, and the IP address used.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we and our partners automatically collect certain information using cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”), including:
- Device and connection information, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, device and advertising identifiers, and language settings.
- Usage information, such as the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, the time and duration of your visits, the website that referred you to the Services, and whether you started or completed a ticket purchase.
- Approximate location, such as your city, region, postal code, or country, which we infer from your IP address or the postal code you provide (for example, to show you nearby theaters and showtimes). We do not collect precise geolocation through the Services.
Information from Other Sources
We may receive information about you from other sources and combine it with information we collect through the Services, including from Ticketing Partners and theaters (such as confirmation of your purchase and order details), the Film Entities and our other affiliates, advertising and analytics partners, social media platforms (when you interact with our pages, posts, or advertisements on those platforms), and service providers that help us operate the Services.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide and operate the Services, including to help you find showtimes and theaters and to facilitate your ticket purchases;
- communicate with you, including to respond to your inquiries and, where permitted, to send you news, updates, and marketing about Hades, the Film Entities, and our motion pictures;
- measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising, including how many ticket purchases result from our campaigns, and show you advertisements for our motion pictures on the Services and on third-party websites, apps, and platforms;
- analyze and improve the Services, our marketing, and our understanding of our audiences;
- detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Use;
- comply with applicable laws and legal process, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
- for any other purpose that we describe to you at the time we collect the information, or with your consent.
We may also use information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to you for any lawful purpose.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our third-party partners, including analytics providers, advertising networks, social media platforms, and Ticketing Partners, use Cookies on the Services to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and deliver and measure advertising. Some of these partners may collect information about your activity on the Services and across other websites, apps, and services over time, and use that information to show you advertisements that are tailored to your interests. Depending on where you live, this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “targeted advertising,” under applicable law.
Most browsers allow you to block or delete Cookies through their settings. If you block or delete Cookies, some features of the Services, including ticket purchasing, may not work properly. Because there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals, we do not respond to them. We process Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 6.
5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose the information we collect as follows:
- Film Entities and Affiliates. We disclose information to the Film Entities and our other parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, who may use it for the purposes described in this Policy, including to market their motion pictures to you.
- Ticketing Partners and Theaters. We disclose information to Ticketing Partners and theaters as needed to complete and fulfill your ticket purchase and to provide customer service. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
- Service Providers. We disclose information to vendors that provide services to us or on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, customer support, and professional services (such as legal and accounting).
- Advertising and Analytics Partners. We make information available to advertising networks, advertising technology companies, analytics providers, and social media platforms, including through Cookies, as described in Section 4. These partners may use the information for their own purposes, subject to their own privacy policies.
- Distribution and Promotional Partners. We may disclose information to companies that distribute, exhibit, or promote our motion pictures, such as distributors, sales agents, theaters, and streaming and digital retailers, including for their own marketing purposes.
- Business Transfers and Rights Transactions. We may disclose or transfer information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or sale, license, or other transfer of the rights in or to any motion picture. If such a transaction occurs, the recipient may continue to use the information consistent with this Policy.
- Legal Requirements and Protection. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hades, the Film Entities, our users, or others.
- With Your Consent or at Your Direction. We may disclose information when you consent to or direct the disclosure.
- Aggregated or De-Identified Information. We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for any lawful purpose.
6. Your Choices
- Marketing Emails. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email. We may still send you transactional messages, such as messages relating to a ticket purchase. If you are located in Canada, the United Kingdom, or the European Economic Area, we will send you marketing emails only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
- Cookies. You can block or delete Cookies through your browser settings, as described in Section 4.
- Opt Out of Sales, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising by emailing privacy@hadesfilms.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” Please include the email address you have used with the Services so that we can apply your request to information associated with it.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, as required by applicable law.
- Industry Opt-Outs. You can learn more about interest-based advertising, and opt out of receiving it from participating companies, at www.aboutads.info/choices, www.networkadvertising.org/choices, and (for users in Europe) www.youronlinechoices.eu. You can also adjust your advertising preferences on social media platforms and in your device settings.

12. Data Retention

To determine how long we keep information, we consider the purpose for which we collected it, whether you have an ongoing relationship with us (for example, whether you remain subscribed to our communications), our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and whether the information is needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
